Note, your cover image should be 180 180 pixels, and do not put any critical details close to the edge because it will be cropped to a circle as shown below;

Facebook recommends your cover photo to be 1640 by 856 pixels, but I recommend 1200 by 628 pixels. This is because , it is perfect for both desktop & mobile users. Go to www.facebook.com/pages/create. You will land on a page as shown below if a destop is used.
